The Spring stool is a new take on the classic round stool with crossed legs. It employs all the production and design learnings from previous products, and it features an innovative seat that reminds the shape of a spring, as well as being flexible like one. Minimal, playful, yet very elegant, it synthesises the Hoioh essence. Available at standard height of 45 cm, as well as 62 cm, suitable for standard kitchen bars. Contact us for custom sizes.

All parts are cut in Girona, Catalunya, using sustainable birch plywood with a light varnish.

Concept

Mesmerising lines

Frustrated with the production challenges of his previous stools and chairs designs, the designer spent months thinking how to produce a seat that would be somewhat ergonomic, yet easy to produce, with minimal waste.

The Spring stool is the result of this research, a marvel of creativity and craftsmanship. The serpentine allows the wood to bend, whilst the cross underneath prevents the beams from reaching their breaking point.

Most of our products are shipped in a compact flat-pack with a QR-code link to online instructions. Building it is a bit like playing with Lego and Tetris, or making a wooden Origami.
